Summer, it seems, has come and gone very quickly this year. and you really would have missed it! The mornings are noticeably darker, the heating is (shamefully) on in my flat, and I’m beginning to think about fall decor and Halloween… But before I bring the cozy jumpers out of storage, lets take a look at what I wore last month when there were still one or two warmish days on the horizon…
I’ll start with by far one of my favourite looks this year. Simple, sophisticated, and a little bit fierce. Also inspired by bumblebees… This Coccinelle bag has made many appearances on my Insta feed lately and for very good reason; it just makes an outfit. Paired with black skinnies, a longish tailored blazer and barely-there heels, the yellow details jump out and create an edgy silhouette that is smart enough for the office but glam enough for cocktails. Cheers!

Early August saw me attend the launch of a new events company, Conifer Events, and I knew that it would be super-glam. Whilst browsing the VIP section of TK Maxx (again) I came across this stunning Versace dress that I knew would go perfectly – and would have an immediate home in my forever wardrobe. I can wear this for work, parties, lunches, even a glam stroll in the West End (which I did the day I bought it!). Easily one of my best finds this year…

What to wear on a bright but breezy day for brunch? A leather pencil skirt and heels, obviously! Well ok, not obvious but paired with this blue knit tee and contrasting yellow jewellery (all found in Glasgow charity shops), it made for a colourful but still fairly cozy look. I paired it with some lace shoe boots because a) they hardly ever get to go outside because of the rain and b) they made me feel tres chic!

This was one of those looks that I wasn’t initially sure about. Maybe because of the fact that I was wearing white short shorts at the end of Summer in Scotland, but I’m so glad I went with it! Pops of colour has been my thing the whole summer, and red really shone out alongside the monotone building blocks of this outfit. The leather jacket kept it edgy (and me warm) whilst the patent heels kept it cosmopolitan. Which is also exactly what I had before the gin tasting I was attending began…

What would the world be without jumpsuits? I LOVE them. This particular look was part of a shoot styled by TrendTrip Styling in association with One4Events and Blythswood Square Gardens. Unbelievably, although I didn’t actually choose the pieces I wore for the shoot, this jumpsuit was already in my ASOS Wishlist! And I think it’s obvious why: luxuriously slippery satin, a rich, deep gem blue and a perfect but relaxed fit? ‘Add To Bag.’

I love what I wore this month, but what did you wear towards the end of Summer? And as we move into fall, which pieces are you coveting in the new collections or looking forward to bringing out of your closet?
