Do you ever wake up in winter, see that it’s a beautiful, crisp sunny day outside, and foolishly think that it might actually be warm out there?
Well, I do. I get all excited, put on something lovely and light to match my new and improved mood (SAD empathy, anyone?) and step outside – only to freeze my arse off and retreat back inside to the comfort of Netflix and a warm drink within minutes.
It’s a sorry situation, and one that fashionistas in the Northern hemisphere face on a regular basis.
Last week I showed you a slightly more dressed-up solution to this – a smart wool skirt – but this week my purpose for venturing outside required something a little more relaxed.
Thankfully, I now have a solution to my winter woes. Jewel bright knits are bang on trend just now, and keep you warm in the winter sun too! This super thick and cosy jumper from ASOS was just a tenner in the sale, and with a black camisole underneath, coated jeans and ankle boots I was more than warm enough to wander around the West End to my heart’s content. Additionally, the bright rust colour was statement enough to inject some style to a fairly simple ensemble.
